Lots of Great Online Resources and an Easy Way to Navigate Them
There is a page on the Techinpedagogy website that lists the resources I have come across since I started the site. It is useful, and the resources section is well organized. There is also a brief description of each resource and a link to each resource site. The page is not well structured if you are looking for a specific type of resource though. It is geared more towards browsing. In response to this, I have created a Diigo group for effective searching of the resources. Diigo is a digital bookmarking tool. Digital bookmarking tools are great for sharing sources. Check out this post to find more about using digital bookmarking for sharing information. Each resource can be labeled with multiple tags. Tags are basically labels. The tags are on the side of the page. If you are looking for assessment tools, you can click on the assessment tag and resources like Kahoot and GoSoapBox will appear. Entries can have more than tag so something like Creedoo is labeled with the tags “presentation”, “communication”, and “collaboration”. That way, resources won’t be pigeon holed into one category. I organized the tags around the categories of skills (communication), subjects (language arts), and type of resources (presentation tool). I am still adding, but there are 149 resources as of this post. I hope you find it useful. Feel free to add your resources. Please share this with anyone who might find it useful. Thanks!
